Arevalo to Medina del Campo - 31 May 2015
Leaving Arevalo we walked past the old town being refurbished. There are many places where this is happening in Spain.
It was a long day's walk and often the roads seemed to go forever but flowers are never far away.
One of the highlights of the day was meeting a man from the last town of the day. He was out for a walk. When he met us he turned around and returned to the village with us. Chatting away was fun. It was of course hard to understand each other but it's surprising what you do pick up. Neil asked him if he wanted to keep walking with us to Santiago. (Everyone knows what we ste doing and where we're headed)
When Andreas and Luis walked through the town behind us, they met him too and he told them he had decided to walk the Camino.
Long stretches
Neil didn't need to walk over this bridge but I asked him to yo make the blog more interesting.
We had the best meal I've had since being in Spain. We got Andres and Luis to explain each of the plates on the menu and the result was amazing.
He had also asked where the ward good food
Beautiful Plaza Mayor in Medina
GRATEFULNESSI'm grateful for the way things unfold. I'm grateful for the simplicity of the journey. The were many long stretches today that seemed to go on which teaches patience. It doesn't matter how much you want to be there you won't until it's time. You can't speed it up.
